UNIVERSAL STUDIOS

and

ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE

Roland and I went to Orlando and went to the Universal parks for 2 days.  We rode tons of roller coasters and had a great time.  It was nice to get out of the village for two days.  It is difficult to get two days off in a row, but it was worth having one week with no days off to have two days that actually felt like a weekend.

Me in front of the Universal sign.  They have a huge pond area that is surrounded by Universal Studios, Islands of adventure, Hard Rock Cafe, Margaritaville, the Universal City Walk, and many other restaurants.

The Seuss Landing was cute.  Was kinda like Universal's version of Toon Town at Disneyland.

The cat in the hat and me.

Roland riding a motorcycle.

Me with a GRIFFIN!

Roland and me trying to take a picture of the stuff behind us, but didn't really get anything in the picture but us.  Roland is the village baker.  He is from LA.

Me at the Horror Movie Make-up show building.  Getting electrocuted!

Roland and me with Popeye and Olive Oil

Me and Roland standing in front of Hard Rock Cafe.  We asked someone to take the picture and figured they would realize that we wanted the sign in the picture, but we I guess you have to say what you mean!

We had a really good time and the weather was awesome.  I called my roommate on our drive back to the club and she was telling me about how they were preparing for Hurricane Katrina.  We had heard nothing about the hurricane and saw nothing to make us think about it.  About 20 minutes after I got off the phone we were going about 20 mph because our windshield looked like this!  CRAZY rain!!!
